Kesselspitze (2,728 m)

Popular and demanding ski touring summit

A frequently visited but challenging ski tour.
Solid knowledge of avalanche safety and route finding is essential.

  • Best season: February to April

  • Conditions: Excellent spring (firn) tour in stable conditions

Route description:
From Trins, start at the Egarte forest road parking area. Follow the forest road to Egarte, then keep right through sparse woodland to the alpine meadows of Greite. Continue straight through the basins towards Kalbenjoch up to approx. 1,900 m. Ascend the gully between two rocky ridges towards the summit of Kesselspitze.
The final section reaches gradients of up to 40° (kick turns required). In good conditions, the summit can be reached on skis.

  • Descent: via the ascent route

  • Ascent time: approx. 4.5 hours

 


Blaser (2,241 m)

Moderately difficult ski tour with panoramic views

A moderately challenging ski tour, generally low avalanche risk with sensible route choice.

  • Best season: December to March

Route description:
From Trins, start at the Egarte forest road parking area. Follow the summer trail through Platzerwald forest. Around 1,500 m, the forest becomes more open. Continue to the tree line and cross pleasant alpine terrain, trending northwest towards Blaser Hut. From the hut, follow the ridge to the summit of Blaser.

  • Descent: upper section via ascent route, then along the forest road

  • Ascent time: approx. 3 hours

 


Klaffl (Scenic Viewpoint)

Winter hike / snowshoe tour

From above the village, follow the forest road (toboggan run) towards Blaser or Padasterjoch to the gate at Egarte. Continue uphill through the clearing, keeping right (or stay on the forest road) towards Kesselspitze. At the signpost (Kesselspitze / Blaser), turn right and follow the forest road to the alpine meadows of Klaffl, located below the Peilspitzen peaks. The tour ends at the mountain hut.

  • Ascent time: approx. 2 hours

  • Important: Always check the current avalanche situation.

 


Trunaalm – Trunahütte (1,722 m)

Easy winter hike / snowshoe tour

From the ski lift, follow the new toboggan run towards the fields of Grazanna. Leave the toboggan run and continue across the fields to the forest road leading to Trunaalm (Trail No. 43). Follow the road through the forest to the gate at the tree line. From here, the alpine meadows of Trunaalm begin. Ascend gently across the meadows to Trunahütte.

  • Ascent time: approx. 2 hours
